TOMA STENKO is on a quest to see the visible in the invisible, the infinite in the finite. Her vibrant, powerful, often large-scale paintings explore the nooks and crannies of our inner selves, the world, love. Working in mixed media she balances movement and stillness, colour and form, creating living images expressing the essence of a feeling, the fluctuation of emotion.
“I unbelievably love colour. I like researching it endlessly, listening to it, colliding with it, and every time I feel surprised at how little we know about it. It's an infinity...”
Love is at the core of Toma Stenko’s work. Romantic, parental, self, broken and new – love is a rich palette of emotions. Stenko delves into its complex aspects through a kaleidoscope of colour.
