Through Time

Today I am sharing two new and intriguing mixed media works by Toma Stenko. You are the first besides me and her children to see them. As of the time of this writing, both artworks are available.

For these works, Toma was inspired by Raphael. She wanted to wonder through his worlds, to reimagine the movement and the stillness of his figures through the lens of contemporary expression. Drawing a bridge between then and now, the paintings take us on a journey between worlds, outside of time.

For me, this is all about energy, that invisible flow all around us, playing and vibrating in a myriad of colours. It’s the very essence that - if we let it - inspires us and drives us forward. Toma allowed me to name the painting below, its ethereal figures floating in space, and that is exactly what I called it. But of course, all perception is individual.
